A Post may advance one first place winner from each participating school into the District competition. One winner from each District will advance to the VFW Department competition. One winner from each Department (54) will advance to the National competition. Remember - each Post/Auxiliary, working together, is now allowed to advance only one student winner per participating school into District competition.
The competition will be held in the fall semester of the school year (November 1-December 15). Any interested teacher or student should contact the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post and ask to be put in contact with their Youth Activities Chairman. The Youth Chairman will be happy to provide full details on how to participate in the local Post competition.
