State President Cindy Anderson and State Commander Ron Davies
have selected Operation TBI Freedom as their Special Project for the year.

Operation TBI Freedom (OTF) was established in 2008 when Denver businessman Dob Bennett approached Denver Options with a challenge: If he provided the necessary funding, could Denver Options create a program to assist Colorado soldiers and veterans who received brain injuries as a result of their service in Iraq and Afghanistan? Dob was troubled by the struggles facing these returning soldiers and was struck with the conviction that more needed to be done to meet the unique needs that accompany this “invisible” injury.

Operation TBI Freedom is a free, statewide program, run by Denver Options, that provides care coordination for active duty and military veterans with traumatic brain injury (TBI) who have served in the current Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. OTF relies on Denver Options' 18 years of care coordination expertise to provide the best individualized supports and resources to improve their quality of life. The program is funded entirely through generous donations from individuals and organizations.
